Overview
Take an 11-night trip to the Patagonia region of South America. Start in Buenos Aires, where you visit the Plaza de Mayo and the Plaza del Congreso. From there, fly to Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, where you board the MV Stella Australis on your voyage to Cape Horn. Sail through Beagle and Murray channels to disembark in Cape Horn National Park and see the scenic beauty near Antarctica. Disembark in historic Wululaia Bay. Also, visit Gunther Pluschow Glacier and Magdalena Island before disembarking at Punta Arenas and flying to Santiago for a tour on your way back to the US. Day 1 - Miami/Buenos Aires
Depart via Avianca Airlines flight to Buenos Aires in the evening.
Day 2 - Buenos Aires

Day 3 - Buenos Aires
Morning city tour includes the Obelisco; the famous squares Plaza de Mayo, San Martin, Alvear and Plaza del Congreso; avenues Corrientes, Mayo, and 9 de Julio; and historic neighborhoods. Afternoon free. (B)
Day 4 - Buenos Aires
After breakfast, a day at leisure. This evening, dinner and tango show in a traditional "tangueria." (B/D)
Day 5 - Buenos Aires/Ushuaia
After breakfast, fly to Ushuaia the world's southernmost city. Arrive and transfer to hotel. (Fuegino/Los Cauquenes) (B)
Day 6 – Ushuala/Patagonia Cruise
Check in today for your cruise to discover Patagonia's natural beauty. Early this evening, board your Australis cruise ship and depart for one of the most remote corners of the planet. During the night, traverse the Beagle Channel, cross from Argentina into Chilean territorial waters, and turn into the Murray Channel. (Cabin A/Cabin AA) (B/D)
Day 7 - Cape Horn/Wulaia Bay
Around the break of dawn, cross Nassau Bay and enter Cape Horn National Park. Go ashore on the windswept island that harbors Cape Horn. Sail badk across Nassau Bay and anchor at historic Wulaia Bay. Hike the mountain and stroll through a Magellanic forest to a look-out point. (B/L/D)
Day 8 - Pia Glacier/Garibaldi Glacier
This morning, enter Pia Fjord and board the Zodiacs for a shore excursion to Pia Glacier. Disembark and take a short hike for a panoramic view of the glacier. Further along the channel, drop anchor near Garibaldi Glacier. Hike through Magellanic forest to a glacial waterfall and viewpoints. Or, if you wish, stay onboard and enjoy the panoramic view from the upper decks. (B/L/D)
Day 9 - Aguila Glacier/Condor Glacier
Early morning, enter Agostini Sound. Disembark and walk around a lagoon formed by the melting of the Aguila Glacier. Afternoon, approach the Condor Glacier via Zodiac. (B/L/D)
Day 10 - Magdalena Island/Punta Arenas
Early morning, disembark at Magdalena Island, home of an immense colony of Magellanic penguins, and walk to the lighthouse. After a short cruise south, disembark at Punta Arenas and transfer to your hotel. (Carpa Manzano/Cabo de Hornos) (B)
Day 11 - Punta Arenas/Santiago

Day 12 - Santiago
Morning city tour begins with a walking tour downtown, including Plaza de Armas and Ahumada Boulevard. By vehicle, visit old Santiago's main avenues and drive up San Cristobal Hill for a panoramic view. Afternoon free. (B)
Day 13 - Santiago/Miami
Transfer to airport for your Avianca Airlines flight to Miami. (B)

Day 3 - Buenos Aires

Day 5 - Buenos Aires/Bariloche
After breakfast, fly to Bariloche, in the foothills of the Andes. Arrive and transfer to hotel. (Edelweiss/Llao Llao) (B)
Day 6 - Bariloche
Begin a half-day scenic excursion, mainly along the coast of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Stop at Bonita Beach en route to Mount Campanario, taking a chairlift to the peak. Continue to Llao Llao Peninsula and Puerto Panuelo. Cross the bridge over Lake Moreno and follow the coast of Trebol Lagoon back to the city. (B)
Day 7 - Bariloche/Peulla
Transfer by bus to Puerto Panuelo. Board a launch and sail Lake Nahuel Huapi to begin your Argentina-Chile lake crossing. Arrive in Puerto Blest. Proceed by bus to Puerto Alegre. Board another launch and sail Lake Frias to Puerto Frias. After Argentine immigration and customs, continue on by bus, crossing the border into Chile over the Perez Rosales Pass. Arrive in Peulla. Day 8 - Peulla/Puerto Varas
After breakfast, transfer to the pier to board a launch and cruise the spectacular Lake Todos Los Santos. After a two-hour journey, arrive in Petrohue to end your lake crossing. Then travel by bus, stopping in Vicente Perez Rosales National Park for breathtaking views of Osorno Volcano and Llanquihue Lake. Transfer to Puerto Varas. (Cabana del Lago) (B)
Day 9 - Puerto Varas/Puerto Montt/Santiago
