Itinerary
Day 1 - Miami/Buenos Aires
Depart Miami via Aerolineas Argentinas flight to Buenos Aires. Arrive and transfer to hotel. (Kenton Palace)
Day 2 - Buenos Aires
Take a panoramic tour of the city. Start in Plaza de Mayo, witness to the most important events of the country since 1810. There, you are able to appreciate surrounding buildings like the Pink House (Government house), the Cathedral and Town Hall. The second stop is La Boca, where you walk through its colorful streets, product of the tenement houses and its famous Caminito Street, where you can appreciate the work of local artists. Leave the southern area of the city to reach the northern area, which includes the neighborhoods of Palermo and Recoleta. Pass by two icons of the city: the Obelisk and the Colon Theater, one of the five best opera houses in the world. Arriving at historic and elegant Recoleta, make a last stop to enjoy the aristocratic part of the city, which is famous for its cemetery that gives the neighborhood its name. Return to the hotel. Afternoon free. This evening, make sure you participate in the optional dinner and tango show in a traditional "tangueria." (B)
Day 3 - Buenos Aires/Iguazu Falls
Transfer to airport for your onward flight to Iguazu Falls. You are met and transferred to your hotel. (Mercure) (B)
Day 4 - Iguazu Falls
In the morning, depart for the Iguazu National Park to visit the Iguazu Falls, declared a Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World. Go through the three circuits of the park on the Argentine side of the Falls: Garganta del Diablo (to reach the balcony and viewpoint of the most imposing falls of the park), The Upper Trail (that provides a view of the falls from above), and The Lower Trail (that offers a closer contact with the vegetation and the falls). During the tour, free time to have lunch (not included) and to take optional boat ride (not included), which takes you into the very heart of the falls, followed by a walk through the jungle. In the afternoon, return to the hotel. (B)
Day 5 - Iguazu Falls/Bariloche
In the morning, visit the Brazilian side of the falls. Once inside the National Park, walk along the only path that leads to Garganta del Diablo viewpoint. Appreciate a view of almost all the waterfalls. After your tour, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bariloche, in the foothills of the Andes. Arrive and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, travel to Nahuel Huapi Lake, passing by Bonita Beach and Campanario Hill. Take the chair lift, which leads to the top of the hill (3,444 ft). From there you are able to admire one of the most beautiful and fascinating landscapes of this region. Gaze at Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno Lakes, Trebol Lagoon, San Pedro and Llao Llao Peninsulas, and Victoria Island; Otto, Lopez, Goye and Cathedral Hills; as well as the city of Bariloche. Continue and pass through the Llao Llao Peninsula, San Eduardo Chapel and Panuelo Port. Arrive at another panoramic viewpoint, a natural balcony from which it is possible to admire Moreno Lake and the Llao Llao Peninsula. Return to the city. (Edelweiss) (B)
Day 6 - Bariloche
After breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure to take optional tours. Bariloche offers different alternatives to navigate Nahuel Huapi Lake and to get to know sites like the Arrayanes Forest, unique in the world; or Puerto Blest and Frias Lake and enjoy the color of the water. (B)
Day 7 - Bariloche/Buenos Aires
Today, transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. Or, take the optional Ushuaia extension. Arrive and transfer to hotel. (Kenton Palace) (B)
Day 8 - Buenos Aires/Miami
